SM-DP+ Address and eSIM Activation Code Explained

Manual eSIM installation normally needs two provider-issued values: an SM-DP+ address and an activation code. They are the same credentials encoded inside the QR code.

Where Tavi shows them

Open the Tavi app, choose My eSIMs, open the purchased plan and select Install details → Manual. The same values are sent to the checkout email after confirmed payment.

What the SM-DP+ address does

The SM-DP+ address tells the phone which remote eSIM provisioning server holds the profile. It is an address, not a website you should open in a browser.

What the activation code does

The activation code identifies the specific profile the phone may download. Treat it like a one-time secret. Do not post it in screenshots, public support forums or reviews.

What goes in Confirmation Code?

Leave Confirmation Code blank unless Tavi explicitly displays a separate value. The provider normally supplies the SM-DP+ address and activation code only; Apple's form supports an optional extra confirmation value that many eSIMs do not use.

If manual installation fails

A paid receipt is not the activation code. The actual credentials come from Tavi after payment has been confirmed and the eSIM profile has been provisioned.
