Terms of Service
Effective 19 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Tavi when you buy or use a Tavi eSIM, whether through the Tavi iOS app or through https://taviesim.com. By buying or installing an eSIM you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not buy.
Written in plain language on purpose. Where a term is genuinely one-sided, we say so rather than bury it.
What Tavi actually sells
Tavi sells prepaid mobile data for use abroad, delivered as an eSIM profile. It is important you understand what that is and is not.
It is data only. It gives your phone mobile internet. It does not give you a phone number, and it does not carry regular calls or SMS. Calls and messages continue to work over your usual number, or over the internet using apps like WhatsApp and FaceTime.
The data is carried by local mobile networks in the destination country, supplied through our wholesale partner. We are a reseller. We do not own the towers.
An eSIM is tied to the destination and the validity period you bought. It does not roll over, and unused data expires.
What you need for it to work
You are responsible for checking, before you buy, that your phone supports eSIM (iPhone XS or later, and most recent Android), that your phone is not carrier-locked, and that your destination is one we actually cover on the plan you selected.
A carrier-locked phone will refuse the profile, and there is nothing we can do about that from our side. If you buy and any of these turns out to be untrue, see the refund section — we will still try to help.
Buying, and who you are buying from
Checkout is operated by Polar (Polar Software Inc.) as our merchant of record. Polar is the seller of record for the transaction and appears on your card statement. Prices are shown in US dollars and include any tax Polar is required to collect. Your bank may add its own foreign-exchange fee, which we neither set nor receive.
We never see your card details.
Delivery
Your eSIM is provisioned by our wholesale partner immediately after payment and delivered in two places: in the app under My eSIMs, then Install details, and by email to the address you used at checkout.
Delivery is normally within a minute. If it takes longer than 15 minutes, email support@taviesim.com with your order email. Do not buy a second one.
Keep your activation details. An eSIM profile can normally only be installed once. If you delete it from your phone it usually cannot be reinstalled, and that is a limitation of the eSIM standard rather than a policy of ours.
Refunds
We buy each eSIM from our carrier partner at the moment you order it, and that purchase is not reversible for us. So the honest position is this.
You get a full refund if the eSIM never arrived or arrived broken; if it will not install and that is not because your phone is carrier-locked or does not support eSIM; if it installs but never connects in the destination it was sold for and we cannot fix it; or if you bought it, have not installed it, and ask within 30 days.
You do not get a refund if you have installed the eSIM and used data on it; if you changed your travel plans and the validity period has already run; if your phone was carrier-locked and you did not check; or if you bought the wrong destination and have already installed it.
To ask, email support@taviesim.com with the email address you ordered with. We aim to answer within one business day. Refunds are issued through Polar, back to the original payment method.
Nothing here removes rights you have by law. If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, your statutory rights — including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or your national equivalent — apply regardless of what this section says.
What we can and cannot promise about the network
We will provide the eSIM and the data allowance you bought. We cannot promise a particular speed, uninterrupted coverage, or that a specific network will be reachable at a specific spot, because we do not operate the networks.
Coverage maps, speeds, and network names shown in the app are what our carrier partner reports to us. They are indicative, not a guarantee.
Some destinations throttle speeds after a data threshold, and some restrict tethering. Where we know of such a limit, we state it on the plan.
Fair use
The plans are for normal personal travel use. Do not use a Tavi eSIM to resell the connection or run it as a permanent fixed-line replacement; to send spam or run attacks, scans, or intrusions; or to do anything illegal where you are, or that breaks the local network's rules.
If a plan is used this way we may suspend it. If we do, we will tell you why.
Your account
Your account is your email address. Sign-in is by one-time code sent to that address, so keep access to your email secure — anyone who can read your inbox can reach your eSIMs. Tell us at support@taviesim.com if you think someone else has access.
Our liability
We are liable to you for breaking this agreement, and nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to exclude.
Beyond that, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — for example a missed booking, a lost fare, or lost business — arising from a connection problem.
That limit is deliberate, and it is the trade for selling a ten dollar data plan rather than a business connectivity contract. If you need a guaranteed connection for something critical, carry a backup.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version always lives at https://taviesim.com/terms with its effective date at the top. Changes never apply retroactively to an eSIM you have already bought — the terms in force when you bought govern that purchase.
Ending it
You can stop using Tavi at any time and ask us to delete your account, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaches fair use, or where we are required to by law. Any eSIM you have already paid for and not used will be refunded if we close your account for reasons that are not your fault.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
Apple
You buy Tavi data plans from us through an external checkout, not through Apple's in-app purchase. Apple is not a party to this agreement, is not the seller, and has no responsibility for the eSIM, the network, or support. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them.
