How to Install a Travel eSIM on iPhone

Install your travel eSIM before departure while you have stable Wi-Fi. Keep the QR code on a second device, or use the manual activation details in the Tavi app and email.

Install with a QR code

Open Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM.
Choose Use QR Code.
Scan the code from another phone, tablet or computer.
Follow Apple's prompts to add and label the line.
Keep your primary SIM as the default voice line.

Install manually

From Add eSIM, choose Use QR Code and then Enter Details Manually.
Copy the SM-DP+ address from Tavi.
Copy the activation code exactly.
Leave Confirmation Code blank unless Tavi explicitly shows one.

After installation

Do not delete the profile. Most eSIM activation codes are single-use. When you reach the destination, turn on the line, choose it for Cellular Data, and enable Data Roaming for that line.

Installing is not the same as activating data. You can usually install at home; the plan period begins when it first connects in the destination.
